Games on Everest Poker
The site I talk about in this entry is similar to Tiger Gaming in that it is not aimed at Americans. Everest Poker’s target audience is mostly inexperienced low stakes players, which is perfect for building the bankroll. The lowest NLHE stakes available are $0.10 - $0.10, and the highest stake available is $50 - $50. Most people won’t need to play any lower or higher than the stakes available here, and those that feel otherwise will have to use different online poker rooms. Oh yeah, and you might wonder why I listed the No Limit stakes the way I did. The NLHE stakes are listed as the same value two times, but this is in fact the amount of the big blind. The small blind is then half either of the numbers (since they’re both the same). I thought you should know that before you make the download and spend half your night being confused.
Limit stakes are listed more sensibly, for they begin at $0.02 - $0.04 and go up to $50 - $100. As you can see, this won't suit the players with the biggest bankrolls. The range of Sit-n-Go stakes is surprisingly good, however. They can be entered at stakes as low as $0.04 + $0.01 and progress up to a fairly large $500 + $30. I already advised that similar to Tiger Gaming, Everest Poker is not on the list of US friendly poker sites. If you live in Russia or China, you are also unable to play on the site.
The Everest Poker download has expanded considerably since coming into the poker world, and the team is trying as hard as possible to become a very popular online room. Their growth is impressive considering they don’t share networks with anyone else; they have their own network called the Everest Network. Where traffic is concerned, the Everest Network has the 6th most players on the Internet today. Everest is actually a great place to begin with money poker sites.
No site is perfect, however, this site included. One downside is that only Holdem and Omaha are offered. This is strange considering that most online rooms these days feature at least some Stud varieties. Also, unless you have a newer computer, you may find yourself getting irritated as the software eats up more memory than a Full Tilt download. Everything considered, though, you should see that the pros outweigh the cons on Everest Poker.
